Been renting 3-years, with Section 8 and she encountered problems a few months after moving in. She is paying an extra $30 a month for a washing machine that doesn’t work most of the time.
Lives in Kansas and his wife booked a vacation rental June 2-7 in Missouri. When she got to the house there were a lot of problems. It took six hours to gain entrance to the property. She decided not to stay there because she said the property was not as advertised. She requested a refund
She rented an apartment in Colorado Springs years ago and the landlord was out to get her. She thinks the landlord was involved in the occult.
Moved into Renewal Village in Globeville, where they converted a hotel into studio January 22, 2025. She has been on subsidized housing since 1997. Health Dept recommended window screens and other items and gave them 30-days to comply.
Her friend moved into Denver Housing Authority in February (she has liver cancer). Her security deposit was $1,750 (she paid $1,000 toward her deposit and a charity was going to pay the remaining balance $750). Instead they applied her rent payments to the deposit, which resulted in accumulated late charges.
She got an eviction notice from Public Storage to vacate in 3 days. She moved out. After she moved out they charged her for another half-month’s rent. She wants it refunded.
Her lease was up in November, 2023. She did not renew and went month-to-month. Section 8 pays her complete rent. They have been trying to get her out. She was served in March for non-renewal for harassing them.
Moved into an apartment in November and they’ve had a terrible cockroach problem. She said she pays a monthly pest control fee.
