83-years old, bought an old 2004, Caddy Deville from Aable Auto Sales (Brush, CO) for $5,000. She has had the car 5-months and still no title.

Son gave her a 2008 Ford Edge. She took it to a mechanic for various maintenance, totaling more than $5,000. They did shoddy work. On May 22nd, the car overheated and the coolant came out. She blames the mechanic.

On June 26th rented a big Enterprise truck for 19-days. Towards the end of the term brakes were grinding, called and they said to bring it in on Monday. Just before bringing it in the brakes went out. She called, they towed it back.

Bought a CV Axel from O’Reilly Auto Parts in November, 2024. Part was faulty. Repair bill was $5,100. He contacted the store’s district mgr. and the manufacturer said it was improper installation. Honest Accurate Auto says it is not the installation, they claim it was the part.

In May he bought 2016 Audi S7, 70K miles, from Booth Motors, Longmont.

Bought a used 2016 Dodge Challenger in June from Phil Long Ford, Colorado Springs. Clutch went out. Took it to a Dodge dealer on Havana. Extended warranty did not cover it and it cost $7K to fix. Then he had two more problems: starter and super-charger. Warranty would not cover them. He is now $13K

Did Valet Parking, LAZ Parking, at the Crawford. When he returned the car had a 30-inch scratch on lower part of passenger door.

On April 2nd, traded in a car with Groove Subaru (Broadway & Belleview) and dealer paid it off more than a month later. Since she stopped making monthly payments, her credit was dinged. They also sold her around $8K in warranties, like windshield coverage, wheels & tires, and an extended warranty.

Bought a new 2022 Ford F150 Platinum with self-driving mode. He is getting notices that his Blue-cruise (adaptive cruise control and self-steering) is expiring. But he paid a one-time fee for it.
