Bought a transmission ($2,800) from Jeff Jolliffe @ Mtn View Transmissions. Clayton installed it and it was defective. He sent it back to Jolliffe. He has not received a replacement.

Bought a used 2017 Jeep Cherokee (50K miles). Developed a noise, charged $250 diagnostic fee + $200 deductible. Air compressor overheated causing other problems.
Took nephew’s truck in for AC work (Pride Auto Care) and they caused some damages. They scratched the door.
18-months ago Christian Brothers replaced his ignition switch for more than $600 and it still doesn’t work right.
Bought a used 2015 Subaru (94K miles) 6-months ago from Corwin Toyota. The tranny was grinding when shifting. The dealer replaced the tranny with a refurbished tranny with a 10K-mile warranty. The dealer replaced the tranny again! But the problem still persists.
She bought a used engine (165K miles, $1,800) from Paco’s Transmission & Motors. She took it to her mechanic for installation. He said it was bad. So Paco’s offered to install another one for an extra $1,000 (to cover installation labor). When she went to pick it up Paco said it needs more work.
2018 Jeep Wrangler went into “limp mode” and took it to Silverthorn Jeep dealer. On the way home the tranny (75K miles) went bad.
John (in Kansas) bought a new 2019 Honda Accord, with a lifetime warranty on the drive train. Now with 104K miles his trans is going out. They’re proposing to replace it with a used trans with 73K miles on it.
